Grame-Tumo Training Mission
2017
2017
Grame (national center of musical creation) and Muscari were pleased to welcome in Lyon from March 6 to 10, 2017 an Armenian delegation composed of three teachers and three students from the TUMO center of Yerevan (Armenia).
This second seminar aims to improve the teachers’ use of the FAUST application but especially the creation of a transdisciplinary educational program, musical programming being part of the curriculum of TUMO. The goal is to build a program that relies on the language of FAUST and to explore new ways to raise awareness about the possibilities of interaction between music and computing. The methodology resulting from this training session will be tested and implemented within TUMO but also in regional schools.
This second working session between Grame and TUMO was made possible thanks to the support of the Muscari association and the French Embassy in Yerevan, which awarded two scholarships to members of the Armenian delegation.
The training that took place in Lyon in the course of March 2017 is not only intending to obtain technical skills but also to leave an important place to the discovery of French culture and its scientific universe. This training will be enriched by trips within the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region which will offer the TUMO delegation the chance to meet teachers from the CIEREC (Interdisciplinary Center of Study and Research on Contemporary Expression) of the University of Saint-Etienne, a class of the Marie Curie high school in Echirolles as well as actors of the Francophonie in connection with Armenia.
