If the publication of the first French-Armenian dictionary of mathematical terms revives this university discipline in which Armenians excel, it immediately serves both the cause of the French-speaking world and that of Armenians.
12 years of work have enabled Tovmas Tovmassian to put on paper 29,000 terms of elementary and higher mathematics as well as 3,000 terms of general mechanics, cybernetics, physics and astronomy. This project would never have been possible without continuous cooperation between Armenian and French mathematicians and the participation of Fineco and Pamexial Expertise and the Aravni and Manoug Pamokdjian couple.
Benefiting from a wide distribution in France, the book will be distributed free of charge to all academic institutions in Armenia, including UFAR.
