Arts and Crafts for Armenia

Two years after the shock of the 2020 war, a terrible attack on September 13th 2022 endangered the existence of Armenia. It seemed unbelievable a few years ago, but it is happening now. All of this is happening in a general indifference because of the perverse geostrategic games.

The fact is: Armenia is abandoned by all.

But not by you. You don’t give it up. This is why we are counting on you on November 17th. Together we are not going to change the destiny of Armenia suddenly, but we can contribute to the local populations there. 

Our project is simple but vital: allow Armenians to continue living and working on their land wherever they are, especially on the Nagorno-Karabakh border and in the Syunik region.

In the village of Hartashen, we have just created a pottery school in accordance with the ceramic workshop developed in Gyumri with Family Care Foundation.

Installed now temporarily in a house, the school welcomes about twenty young Armenians who have started taking lessons lately. Moreover, a French ceramist came to share his skills recently.

But still, a lot of things need to be done. More than ever we need financial resources to make this pottery school into reality to give a future to Armenian youth. 

For further actions we are planning to rehabilitate the former Culture House in Hartashen which was built during the Soviet period and has been abandoned for 30 years. We want to transform it into a cultural Center for different types of classes.

On November 17th, around sixty Gumri ceramics and many other artworks will be presented for sale to help finance this project.
